Since we last updated, we went to Afest and Moonwildflower competed in her Lynx (Chrono Cross) and got best in Masters!
The next weekend, the group got invited as cosplay guests at Mechacon in New Orleans! We all had a blast and hope to go back next year.

Sorry about the lack of updates. We update our FB page almost everyday... at least. Go check it out!

We've got a couple small projects we're finishing up now, but we have room for maybe one or two more.
Commissions we accept: helmets, weapons, and latex masks (no, the silence mask is not for sale)
If you're interested, send us a note and we can discuss the details!

After years of living in Texas, we finally made it to SXSW. For those not familiar, it's a big trade show that features music, movies and tech. For the past six years or so, they've had a section called Screenburn for everything video game related. And this year, they had a cosplay contest.
Wearing cosplay there was different from being at an anime or comic book convention. Overall, there may have been about 30 cosplayers there total. And hundreds of none-costumed guests that couldn't get enough of seeing the costumes. we could get used to the amount of attention a costume receives there. lol
Throughout Sunday, the group was interviewed and filmed at least three times. Erin and I were even asked to stand next to a Dutch reporter while he was being filmed.
A big congratulations goes out to Evil Pastry Studios for running the cosplay contest so well. It was on time (a big problem some cons have) and very professional.
As for the results of the contest, everyone in the group won something. I received a Judge's Award for Jun. Erin got Best VideoGame Adaptation for Rydia from FF4  and my brother Carl got Best in Show for his Commander Shepard from ME2. I'm so proud of him!

I'll post more as I find them.

Ikkicon report

2 min read
The group is back from Ikkicon. This was.... an interesting convention to say the least. Set in a new hotel in Austin, the location was smaller buy nice. Though the main events was located in a tent in the parking lot across the street....
Anyway, the group helped out with the half-time show and hosted their first panel on latex and monster making. A big thank you to everyone who made it!
Other than working the con, lots of fun was had with friends and a photoshoot was had with a friend for :iconazureprops:'s newest cosplay: Jun from Gatchaman. Expect pictures in the future.
Last bit before we all go try and catch up on sleep. Two of our members got an interesting surprise while dining in a Wendys just a block from the con. They got to meet and talk with an actor from the BBC show Torchwood who was the area to visit family! Matt Rippy! One of our members is still in a giggle fit. It's so cute.

Now to begin some of the props that we've been wanting to do from Skyrim. Like a Daedric sword....
